Rising prices for graphics cards and other PC components haven't stopped sales of external GPUs. According to Jon Peddie Research (JPR), shipments of external GPUs for consumer computers increased in the second quarter of 2026 compared to both the previous quarter and the same period last year.
External GPU shipments increased by 12.2 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous three-month period. Compared to the same period last year, the increase reached 14.1 percent. Thus, the market achieved one of its strongest growth rates in recent times.
